The CanWES goal of raising $30,000 per year is a continuous challenge. We have been very lucky in the past to have friends of CanWES host fundraisers in an attempt to help us reach our annual goals. Hanging Basket Fundraiser
This year CanWES was successful in their goal of putting a smile on the faces of mothers in our community, as well as raising funds for the Everest English School in Nepal. Over 365 Hanging Baskets were sold during this year’s Mother’s Day Hanging Basket Fundraiser. Once again, CanWES would like to thank everyone who purchased hanging baskets for their support. As well, CanWES is continuously grateful to C&C Growers for their annual support with creating these beautiful hanging baskets. CanWES Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament
The CanWES Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament was again held at the beautiful Highland Pacific Golf Course, and was another successful annual event board members and volunteers work hard to run. This year’s event saw 62 people in the field smiling, laughing, and raising precious funds for the Everest English School in Nepal. CanWES would like to thank all the participants of the golf tournament, as well as the donors and sponsors that allow the tournament to be a success. This year we were able to raise $6000 toward the operation of our school in Sanitar. We look forward to having a full field next year.
