Nepal Earthquake News Update

After the recent e-mail went out regarding the aftermath of the earthquake in Nepal, we received additional information regarding the Everest English School. Unfortunately there was more damage than originally thought. It turns out that we have one building that is need of repair, and a second building that actually needs to be completely rebuilt. At this point in time, we are unsure of what that looks like in terms of time and cost. We hope to have more information in the days to come that will help CanWES determine exactly how we can support the significant cost increase.
On a positive note, a very generous CanWES donor has offered to match dollar for dollar up to $3000. This is an incredible offer that will certainly assist us in repairing parts of the school. Any amount, big or small, will help to fix the buildings and put kids back in the classrooms! For updates on money raised in our “Dollar for Dollar” campaign, to donate, or to learn more about Nepal recovery, visit our website at
We (CanWES) appreciate all the love and support.
